The East End Market Houston is a farmers and artisans market operated by the East End Foundation on the Esplanade at Navigation, 2800 Navigation Boulevard, in the heart of the East End Cultural District. The East End Market’s mission is to create vibrant community gatherings in the East End, and contribute to the success of local food growers, prepared food vendors, artisans and live performers. The East End Market is open every Sunday from 10AM-2PM.
Enhancing the quality of life for area East End residents by providing easy access to healthy, locally-grown fresh food.
Educating the community about local growing conditions and food crops and about the nutritional and culinary benefits of eating local produce in season.
Contributing to the local economy by redirecting consumers’ food dollars from non-local to local growers and food vendors. Incubating new, small food-based businesses. Providing a community gathering place.
Admittance to the market depends on approval by the Market Manager. In general, vendors must sell products grown or produced by the vendor within 180 miles of Houston, hold ALL required permits, licenses, and insurance policies necessary for their business operation, sign the indemnity agreement included in this vendor application holding the East End Market harmless, allow market representatives to inspect their farm and production facilities prior to selling at the market and any potential additional visits; and pay the annual vendor fee and daily market fees. All vendors at the East End Market are bound by the market rules. Over time, these rules will be amended and updated to more specifically reflect and address the unique aspects, needs and requirements of the East End Market.
